Peter Hay / About Author
Peter Hay is an experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director. He is currently Chair of Newcrest Mining and a part time member of the Australian Government Takeovers Panel.
He has previously held board roles at Vicinity Centres, GUD Holdings, Novion, Alumina, ANZ, NBN and Myer. Peter has a strong background and breadth of experience in business, corporate governance, finance and investment banking advisory work, with a particular expertise in relation to mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to his non-executive career, he was a partner of the legal firm Freehills until 2005, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2000. Mr Hay has also had significant involvement in advising governments and government-owned enterprises.
