AI as a Boardroom Tool: Governance, Judgment and Risk
About this event
This session marks our fourth Global Directors Council discussion focused on AI in the boardroom. As the technology — and its adoption — continues to evolve at extraordinary speed, this roundtable will revisit the key questions directors are grappling with: What has changed since our earlier discussions? Is boardroom adoption keeping pace? And where can AI genuinely enhance governance and decision-making without compromising human judgment and accountability?
In this session, Helen van Orton will lead a candid, peer-level discussion on how boards can navigate AI with confidence and clarity. Drawing on her work with boards and executive teams across New Zealand and internationally, Helen will explore how directors can build AI fluency, strengthen governance capability, and ensure AI enhances — rather than erodes — human judgment and accountability.
